Would you like to make a rosé compote with no added sugar? Here's a quick and easy way to preserve the full flavor of apples.
1. Wash your apples with a little water.
2. Cut the apples into two or four pieces (depending on size), keeping the peel on. Remove the apple fly (lower part) and any blemishes. Keep the core.
3. Place your apples in a pot with a small amount of water to prevent sticking.
4. Add the lid and cook over low heat.
5. Stir frequently during cooking.
6. Remove from heat when apples reach desired compote consistency. Cooking time varies according to quantity and variety of apples.
7. Use a solid sieve(Chinese strainer) to crush the apples, keeping only the flesh.
8. Enjoy!
