15 minutesCooking:
40 minutesIngredients
- 225 g (8 oz) smoked bacon, in small pieces
- 1 onion, peeled and diced
- 1 sheet of puff pastry
- 1 tbsp. Dijon mustard
- 1 tbsp. chopped parsley
- 2 apples, thinly sliced
- 110 g (4 oz) raisins
- 225 g (8 oz) almonds
- 1/4 teaspoon ground pepper
Preparation
- Preheat oven to 200°C (400°F). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a skillet, brown the smoked bacon over medium heat for 4 minutes. Add onion and sauté 4 minutes. Season with pepper. Remove from heat. Transfer mixture to paper towels to remove some of the fat.
- Roll out the dough into a rectangle and transfer to the baking sheet. Prick the dough with a fork and roll up the edges. Brush with mustard and sprinkle with parsley. Spread the bacon and onion mixture over the dough. Add apple slices, raisins, almonds and pepper. Bake for 30 minutes or until golden brown.
- Remove baking sheet from oven. Cool for 5 minutes before cutting to serve.
