Stuffed apple pie style in the air fryer

For apples
- 2 large Mcintosh apples
- 30 ml (2 tablespoons) melted butter
- 2.5 ml (½ tsp.) cinnamon
- A pinch of nutmeg
For the trim
- 125 ml (½ cup) quick-cooking rolled oats
- 30 ml (2 tablespoons) brown sugar
- 30 ml (2 tablespoons) butter, tempered
- 30 ml (2 tablespoons) maple syrup
- 2.5 ml (½ tsp.) cinnamon
Preparation
- Using an apple corer, remove the core from the apples and cut them in half lengthwise.
- Brush the insides of the apples with butter and sprinkle with cinnamon and nutmeg.
- In a bowl, mix all the ingredients in the filling section together.
- Place the filling in the center of each apple.
- Place a sheet of parchment in the basket of the air fryer and place the stuffed apples.
- Bake for 15 minutes at 190 ˚C (375 ˚F). If desired, serve with a scoop of vanilla ice cream and a few mint leaves.
