Ingredients
- 4 red apples
- 250 ml (1 cup) sugar
- 60 ml (1/4 cup) water
- 15 ml (1 tablespoon) butter
- 80 ml (1/3 cup) chocolate cake decorations
Preparation
- Wash apples. Remove stalk and stem.
- Insert a wooden stick into each apple.
- In a saucepan, heat the sugar and water over medium heat until amber in color. Remove from heat and add butter.
- Using a large spoon, pour the caramel over the apples to coat. Place on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
- Dip the base of the apples in the chocolate decorations.
- Leave to set for 30 minutes at room temperature.
