Chocolate apples

Ingredients

  • 4 red apples
  • 170 g (about 1/3 lb) 70% chocolate, chopped
  • 60 ml (1/4 cup) butter
  • 80 ml (1/3 cup) maple sugar chips
  • 30 g (3 1/2 oz) white chocolate, chopped

 

Preparation

  1. Wash apples. Remove stalk and stem.
  2. Insert a wooden stick into each apple.
  3. In a double boiler, melt the dark chocolate with the butter. Coat apples in chocolate and dip immediately in maple sugar chips.
  4. Place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  5. Melt the white chocolate in the microwave. Using a fork, form filaments on the chocolate apples.
  6. Leave to set in the fridge for 30 minutes.
