Goat's cheese and apple puff pastry

Portions:
16
Preparation:
10 min.
Cooking:
25 min.

Ingredients

  • 2 rounds of frozen puff pastry
  • 300 g unripened goat's cheese, cut into strips
  • 2 apples, cored, unpeeled and thinly sliced
  • 30 ml (2 tablespoons) olive oil
  • 30 ml (2 tablespoons) fresh thyme
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Maple syrup or honey to taste

Preparation

  1. Preheat oven to 200°C (400°F). Roll out puff pastry and cut into 8 squares to make 16 portions.
  2. Place dough pieces on a parchment-lined baking sheet and prick with a fork. Place cheese in the center of each square, leaving a small border.
  3. Place several slices of apple on each square so that the cheese is completely covered. Brush apples with a little oil and sprinkle with thyme. Season to taste.
  4. Bake puff pastries for 20 to 25 minutes, or until pastry is cooked and edges are golden. Drizzle with maple syrup or honey and serve immediately.
