Ingredients
- 5 ml (1 teaspoon) butter
- 125 ml (1/2 cup) maple syrup
- 80 ml (1/3 cup) dried cranberries
- 60 ml (1/4 cup) almonds
- 125 g (4.4 oz) Goat cheese, log type, cut into 6 slices
- 3 Quebec Cortland apples, halved and cores removed
- Leaf salad to taste
Preparation
- Preheat oven to 220°C (425°F).
- In a saucepan, combine butter, maple syrup, cranberries and almonds. Bring to the boil and simmer for 3 minutes.
- Place apple halves in 6 small ramekins. Pour maple mixture over apples. Add a 2 cm slice of cheese. Bake for 20 minutes.
- Meanwhile, fill 6 small plates with salad. When the apples are cooked, place half an apple with its broth on each plate, on top of the salad.
