Maple and granola fried apples

- 3 tbsp. maple sugar
- 3 tbsp. almond granola (cereal mix)
- 2 tbsp. butter
- 6 large apples, peeled and sliced
- 2 tbsp. brown sugar
- 1 pinch ground cayenne pepper
- 250 ml (1 cup) maple syrup
Preparation
- Preheat oven to 190°C (375°F).
- In a bowl, combine maple sugar and granola.
- Melt butter in an ovenproof skillet. Add apples and sauté over medium heat for 3 minutes. Sprinkle with brown sugar and cayenne pepper. Drizzle with maple syrup. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer 5 minutes. Cover with granola mixture. Stir with a few spoonfuls. Bake for 15 minutes.
- Remove from oven. Spoon into small bowls and serve immediately.
