Ingredients
- 250 g (1/2 lb) homemade or store-bought puff pastry
- 2 yellow Delicious apples, peeled, trimmed and cut into thin strips
- 25 g (2 tablespoons) vanilla sugar
- 30 ml (2 tablespoons) quince or apple jelly, melted
Preparation
- Center the oven rack and preheat the oven to 200°C (400°F).
- On a silicone mat, roll out the dough into a rectangle. Cut the 4 edges of the dough 1 cm (1/2") wide. Wet the edges of the pastry rectangle and reposition the strips on the edges of the rectangle.
- Place the apple slices on top and sprinkle with vanilla sugar. Bake for 25 minutes, or until risen and golden.
- Remove from oven and brush apples with melted jelly.
