Ingredients
- 10 Lobo apples, cored, peeled and sliced into 5 mm (1/4″) wedges
- 125 ml (1/2 cup) low-fat cottage cheese
- 125 ml (1/2 cup) medium maple syrup
- 2.5 ml (1/2 tsp.) ground mace
- 2.5 ml (1/2 teaspoon) vanilla
- 125 ml (1/2 cup) whole-wheat flour
- 250 ml (1 cup) oat flour
- 125 ml (1/2 cup) raw brown sugar
- 2.5 ml (1/2 teaspoon) baking soda
- 125 ml (1/2 cup) non-hydrogenated margarine
Preparation
- In a mixing bowl, combine apples, cottage cheese and maple syrup.
- Spoon the mixture into 10 ramekins or gratin dishes.
- In a separate bowl, combine flours, brown sugar, baking soda and margarine. Mix well.
- Spoon the mixture over the apples.
- Bake at 180°C (350°F) for 45 minutes and serve.
