Ingredients
- 500 ml (2 cups) maple syrup
- 4 apples
- 4 wooden sticks
Preparation
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Pour the maple syrup into a large saucepan and bring to a boil over medium-high heat, watching closely.
- Simmer until a drop of hot syrup poured into a glass of very cold water hardens like candy.
- Meanwhile, insert a wooden stick into the center of each apple. Dip the apples one by one into the hot caramel. Remove excess caramel with a spatula and place, upside down, on the baking sheet. Leave to set in the fridge or at room temperature for about 1 hour.
