Quebec apples sautéed in maple caramel

Ingredients

  • 2 Quebec apples (Cortland variety), peeled, cored and quartered
  • 45 ml butter
  • 1 vanilla pod
  • 250 ml maple syrup

Preparation

  1. Melt butter, add apples and sauté until golden brown. Remove apples.
  2. Add the maple syrup and vanilla and cook until the texture is smooth.
  3. Return the apples and serve with the pancakes.
