25 minutesIngredients
- 1 cup Quebec strawberries, cut in 2
- 1 cup Quebec raspberries
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 1 tbsp. cornstarch
- 1 sheet of homemade or store-bought shortcrust pastry
- ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1 Québec Quality apple, sliced
- 1 tbsp. butter, melted
- 1 tablespoon turbinado sugar (or white sugar)
Preparation
- Preheat oven to 400°F and line a baking sheet with non-stick silicone. Set aside for later use.
- Place strawberries, raspberries, sugar and cornstarch in a medium-sized bowl, stir, then let stand for 5 minutes.
- Roll out the shortcrust pastry into a large circle (it doesn't have to be perfect, we're going for a pretty rustic look!). Carefully place the dough on the prepared baking sheet and sprinkle with cinnamon.
- Leaving a 2- to 3-inch border of pastry to fold over, place the apple slices in a circle. Place the strawberries and raspberries inside the circle.
- Secure the fruit by folding the excess pastry towards the inside of the galette.
- Brush the dough with melted butter and sprinkle with turbinado sugar.
- Place in the oven for 25 to 30 minutes, or until golden brown. Let cool for a few minutes before cutting into wedges and serving.
